We, at TNHS, are happy to inform that a new species has been described and named after Dr Kalesh Sadasivan (Founder member and Research Associate, TNHS) by scientists from the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI). Miscophus kaleshi Girish Kumar, 2024. The species is named in honour of Dr Kalesh Sadasivan, Plastic Surgeon for his contribution to the natural history and taxonomy studies on ants, butterflies, odonates, cicadas and mantids of the Western Ghats of India. What a glorious way of honouring fellow taxonomists! Huge thanks to Dr Girish Kumar and the ZSI team!
