Medical Camps Conducted by TNHS in Association with the Forest Department

TNHS, in collaboration with the Forest Department, organized medical camps on February 15th and 16th at Chinnar Dormitory and Iruttalakudy, respectively. The camp was inaugurated by Range Officer Rajashekharan and saw the participation of 120 tribal and local residents from Champakkad Kudy, Mangappara Kudy, Alampetty Kudy, and Thayannam Kudy.
On February 16th, a second medical camp was held at Iruttalakudy, where 82 individuals from Iruttalakudy, Echampettykudy, and Puthukudy received medical attention. Additionally, house visits were conducted for bedridden patients, during which health concerns such as infertility—linked to the widespread use of oral contraceptive pills—and the adverse effects of tobacco consumption were observed.
The camps were led by TNHS Associates Dr. Harisankar and Dileep Chandran, with support from Dr. Shiyas, Dr. Alfonse, and Dr. Rogers from St. Mary’s Hospital, Thodupuzha.
